Willkommen to the show this week. Thank you everyone for the support on last week's show. I've heard lots about the improved sound quality and sound selection. I regret that I need to rebuild my sound effects library, but such is life. This week we're facing a stormy weekend. No matter, I will still bring my best. Please, participate... it only takes a moment to leave a comment. I'm excited to hear your input. Also, check out Brooklyn Zoom, the blog from Chew Fu... the link is new on the "Source Materials" section on the right side bar.

DJ Hero Pre-release and Video Game Tournaments

| More

Wow! Activision is after my own heart with their latest LIVE instrumentation video game, DJ Hero (Website) (YouTube Demo) The game won't be in stores until October of 2009, and Activision took a big hit to their pre-release promotional effort with the unexpected death of Adam Goldstein (aka DJ AM) last Friday.

This game looks very exciting and you can have a chance to see it in action next weekend, September 13th in Minot, North Dakota. In fact, I've been invited to demonstrate the new game at the Maysa Arena Ice & Roller Skating Rink in Minot. This is the largest independent game fair in the Northwest. (Event Info) If you live in or near Minot (I'm looking at you, Bismarck)... I hope that you'll come by, support the fundraiser, play some video games, smack my hand and share some love. I'm quite excited.

WHAT: Video Game Fair / Fundraiser / Release Party
WHEN: Saturday, September 13th, 2009
WHERE: Maysa Ice Arena - Minot,North Dakota (map)
WHY: Come see the new DJ Hero game from Activision, play in video game tournaments all day long on platforms all the way back to Nintendo, Sega Genesis, SNES, and more.
